Jonny was interviewed on the Today programme on Radio 4 for his views about bushcraft and survival training for children. _______________________________________ Survival School raised over Ł3,000 for Survival International at three Charity Auctions. We would like to thank all the individuals, companies and organisations who donated their skills, talents and time for such a worthy cause. We would also like to thank all the people who bid for the lots and so generously dug deep to raise all that money. Survival International have stated that we raised more money for the charity than anyone else this year. Jonny was on the receiving end of a series of tricky questions from Georgia about survival and bushcraft in the desert, jungle and tundra environments. This was shown on BBC1 on Sunday 8th October. _______________________________________ A Maths text book entitled 'Survival Skills Using Maths' was released in September. This book is designed to assist children from 8-13 in learning maths and a few bushcraft and survival skills along the way. It is already very popular amongst our customers who have children. The expedition trained members in vehicle preparation, water sourcing, collection and preservation, desert survival strategy, signalling, astral and solar navigation, shelter building in the desert, desert fire lighting techniques, desert cooking, desert wildlife and tracking, emergency repairs to vehicles and off road 4x4 driving in desert conditions. After the success of our 2004 trip to the Sahara and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, we have been asked to repeat it in 2005, however we will not be going back to the Sahara in 2006 but will change environment completely. We are running the Expedition to Nova Scotia in 2006.
