Pure craftsmanship from Hults Bruk since 1697!

These axes are crafted by hand. It takes many blows with a hammer to produce the axe’s final shape. This method is costly, but it increases the density of the steel, thereby also improving the axe’s durability compared to those produced with fewer blows. There are very few manufacturers left in the world with craftsmen who still command this technique.

Hults Bruks axes are made from Swedish axe steel of consistently high quality and handles are of oiled prime hickory heartwood.

The hardening method leaves a clear hardened zone where the axe can be re-sharpened without detracting from the strength of the edge. Used correctly, these axes can last for generations.

The axes are hardened to 58-59 HRC. Each axe comes with a sturdy leather sheath (better than the Gransfors Bruks sheaths).
