Last Weekend's Devon Courses 20/2/12 |

Last weekend's courses were simply fantastic. The trackers were awesome, the fire lighters brilliant and some of the best shelters I've seen in a long time. All that and it got down to minus 6.7 degrees C. That's what it's all about. Survival and Bushcraft at its best! |

Courses This Weekend 17/2/12 |
|
Just packing up the truck, ready to head off to Devon for a weekend of tracking, traps and snares and game preparation. The Level 2 Training Course is full and we're hoping for good weather. Can't wait to get back out tracking. We've set aside an area which hasn't been touched for 4 months, so it should be heaving with the tell tale signs of Roe Deer, Badger, Fox and Otter. |

Cutting Tracking Sticks 16/2/12 |
|
Just out to cut tracking sticks for the course on Saturday. There is a wonderful hazel coppice at the end of the wood. Time to reap the rewards with a dozen straight hazel rods, and then back for the eagerly awaited chipping. |

Company Freezer is Stocked 15/2/12 |
|
Survival School's deep freeze is stocked for the month. In game preparations sessions alone, we should get through over 100 rainbow trout, 50 rabbits, 120 pigeon and a couple of muntjac. Thank you Ray and Roger from the game dealers. Line 'em up, we'll need the same in April. It was also great to meet Paul, one of the Sporting Shooter readers. It would be great to see you on the tracking course. |

We're just about to fell two huge Corsica Pines. The rounds, brash and chippings will be used in a fortnight's times on our Axe Workshop and Charcoal Making Course in Staffordshire. There are still places available on this by the way. |

TV Production Companies 10/2/12 |

Today we have been contacted by Jamie Oliver's TV Production company in connection with a TV programme in the USA. We've also been contacted by another TV production company in connection with an Escape and Evasion style programme. There are some great ideas out there. Keep them coming. If you want assistance or consultancy then you've come to the right people again. We are the best at that sort of thing! After all, that's what you keep telling us. |
