Extreme Survival Course

The Survival School Extreme Survival Course is probably one of the best survival courses in the country. Not only do you get the best scenery in the country, but it is also a chance to live and learn bushcraft in an extreme and sometimes hostile environment. This course is about learning to live in mountainous areas and how to look after yourself and others in remote wilderness locations. Places for this course go quickly.
	The course starts with a breathtaking walk along a magnificent ridge followed by a trek down to the woodland over looking a beautiful loch. The course is designed to teach and test you on shelter building, many fire lighting techniques, search and rescue patterns, helicopter landing sites, map reading, spoon carving, charcloth making, casualty evacuation, game preparation and water purification.
The course finishes with the trek out. The route takes you through a place that we call 'the land that time forgot'. When you walk through the gorge you'll see what we mean. This is the highlands at its best. The screech and calls of the eagles overhead, the clambering over huge rocks and the decent down to the streams and waterfalls below make you want to stay forever.
