The Wayfarer's Course will provide a testing but safe location to expand your bushcraft skills and develop your camp craft. This course is very different from others we run. It is split into two halves. The first half of the course is an opportunity to learn new or revise old skills, such as spoon carving, shelter building, charcloth making, creating your own jerky, smoking fish, willow fish trap making, foraging ,friction fire lighting, fishing and knife and axe work. The second half of the course is about putting the theory into practice and learning about the realities of wilderness survival in such a wild but beautiful environment. |
|
The theme of the course will be to make the ultimate shelter and the ultimate camp in order to make the most of your surroundings and use the knowledge gained from previous courses. This course will open your eyes to the opportunities available to the bushcrafter or survivalist in early winter and provide a good grounding for further adventures. The course is run in a remote part of South West Scotland. Upon arrival, you will set up your camp and prepare your kit for the week ahead. |
