The current regulations (Regulation 6) to fight COVID-19 state that up to 6 people can meet in the outdoors. Until the regulations are relaxed further, we are proposing to run our courses on the following basis: Total Group Size: 5 participants and 1 Instructor at a time.
The Aim of this course is to teach you how to identify animal tracks and signs and to learn how to follow the animals until you get 'eyes on'. This course is an eye opener and our previous trackers have stated that they have never looked at the woods in the same way again. Our recent courses discovered a massive variety of animal life that is just waiting to be tracked.
For those of you who want to practise your bushcraft skills, you've come to the right place. The course will start on Friday at 7pm and finish at midday on the Sunday. You will be introduced to the world of animal tracking by one of the best teams in the business. They will show you how to follow animal tracks, teach you how to read the signs and encourage you to track the animals yourself. You need have NO tracking experience before attending this course.
The itinerary may change depending on the weather, but all subjects will be covered.

Outdoor clothing should be tough and comfortable. Wearing several thin layers is better than a few thick layers. A waterproof jacket and several sweatshirts underneath are sufficient. Jeans should not be worn, as they are slow to dry, clinging and cold. Natural colours or camouflage will give you a better chance of spotting wildlife. Walking boots are ideal, but wellies in wet weather and trainers in dry weather will suffice.
Please pack your torch, antibacterial wipes/soap and insect repellent at the top of your bag.
You will also need to bring food for the weekend (2 x breakfast, 1 x lunch and 2 x evening meals). You can cook over the camp fire, or you can bring your own stove. Hot water is provided as the kettle will be over the fire all through the course.
You will not be posted any instructions. Everything you need to attend the course is on this webpage and on the email that you will receive. If you require anything further, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we'll be glad to assist.
