The Course Directors Qualification guides you through creating and presenting a course from concept through to delivery.  You will be required to invent a course of your own.  You will be the owner of that course and it will be your intellectual property.

The course is made up of 5 modules.  Each module will require a written document totalling not more than 1000 words.  With each document completed you will start to build a portfolio for your course.  With a document of 5000 words you will have a course that has been fully researched, fully referenced and ready to present to paying customers.

You will attend a one day course on how to work through the modules, what they mean and what the course markers are looking for.  Then you'll have up to one year to complete the portfolio.  Most people will be able to do this in less time.

The course will need to be researched from the following aspects:

  • Conceptualisation of courses.
  • Governance, Legalities and Regulatory Criteria.
  • Resources and Finances.
  • Course Locations.
  • Schemes of Work, Plans and Delivery.

The Learning Outcomes can be downloaded here: LEVEL 5 LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course can run on a one to one basis, so please call us on 01453 752220 to arrange a date.  You course will finish one year after that date.  The first day will run from 9am to 5pm at one of our centres in either Devon or Staffordshire.

  • Registration and Certification with the NCFE.
  • VAT is included in the price.

I already teach bushcraft, why should I do this course?

This course will give you the opportunity to learn how to develop your own courses in a structured way to give your customers the best courses from your first delivery

Will it mean I get more work?

We can't promise this because it is down to the individual.  However, if you've got a Level 5 and someone else hasn't and you're going for the same job, you look better on paper.  The rest is down to you!
