The ultimate winter experience in Sweden
Itinerary
The Expedition will last for 7 days. The itinerary is as follows:
DAY 1: (9/1/15) Depart Heathrow to Stockholm and then on to Ostersund, upon arrival you will be met by transport waiting to drive you to a remote log cabin in a back country location . (The cabin is very basic no electricity no indoor bathroom no TV/phones or computers) But let’s face it this week is all about going back to nature.
DAY 2: (10/1/15) After breakfast we head for the mountains and spend the day on Snowmobiles. This is an amazing day in the most outstanding scenery as well has having serious fun.
DAY 3: (11/1/15) Day three is when we start the bushcraft and survival phase. After the introduction to cross-country skiing we ski out to set up the first camp. This is in a tipi. We will also be doing some ice hole fishing.
DAY 4: (12/1/15) In the morning we will ski to a different area. This is where we will make the group shelter from natural materials. It’s at this point that the snowshoes come into play.
DAY 5: (13/1/15) The last day is spent preparing the snow hole. This is the final night out in the wilderness before we head back to the cabin.
DAY 6: (14/1/15) This is an amazing day. After a ski to a frozen lake it’s time to work with your own team of huskies. Quite simply, this is an unforgettable experience.
DAY 7: (15/1/15) The last day is a rest day. This is an opportunity to go skiing, explore on snow shoes and in the afternoon relax in the hot tub. The hot tub is set up for you on edge of the lake, surrounded with snow and some of the best scenery you will ever lay your eyes on.
