The customer shall fully indemnify Survival School against any loss to the company arising from any claim made by the owner against the company as a result of any action of the customer whether by way of damage caused to property, failure to pay the owner or in any other way whatsoever.

Whilst Survival School uses its best endeavours to ensure accuracy of all information supplied and details of courses are given in good faith, no warranty is given as to their accuracy and it does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage resulting from information given or statements made whether orally or in writing.

Survival School can give no guarantee or warranty as to the state or condition of properties of the owners. Survival School will not be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the owners or any other person, or breakdown of any properties, nor for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property which the customer or any other person may suffer or incur.

Survival School reserves the right to refuse admittance to activities and/or accommodation either on its own account or on behalf of the owners. In such cases all liability of Survival School and owners shall cease.

The customer shall be liable to the owner for any loss, costs, expenses or claims arising from any damage caused to properties by deliberate or negligent act or omission of the customer or of any person in his/her party. If, as a result of such damage, properties need to be repaired or any of the contents need to be replaced then the customer shall be responsible for paying the reasonable costs of doing so.

The booking is made on the understanding that the course is available to the customer on the dates stated. If for any reason beyond Survival School’s control (e.g. fire, storm damage, illness, terrorism, sale or withdrawal of the land by the owner for any reason etc) the package is not available on the date booked Survival School will use its best endeavours to provide an alternative course to the customer but cannot guarantee that such will be provided and if such cannot be found or is not suitable for the customer then all monies paid by the customer shall be returned in full. Survival School shall not be liable for any consequential loss, expense, inconvenience or otherwise resulting from such unavailability or unsuitability and the customer shall have no claim against them. Courses paid for shall be started within 12 months of payment.  The customer shall advise Survival School within seven days of being offered an alternative course whether or not it is acceptable. If the alternative course is more expensive Survival School reserves the right to charge the difference in cost.

Submission of a signed booking form, internet sale or telephone booking with deposit paid by cheque or credit/debit card, will be deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions and a confirmation of the details and conditions on the booking form. The person who signs the booking form warrants that he/she is authorised to agree to Survival School’s terms and conditions and is acting on behalf of all persons including those substituted or who join the party at a later date. The person who signs the booking form is responsible for ensuring that all persons in the package comply with the terms and conditions and in all respects.

If for any reason the customer is not satisfied with the course, the company must be contacted within 5 working days so that the problem can be rectified immediately.  Under no circumstances will Survival School’s liability exceed the price paid for the package.

The deposit or full price is required with the booking form. If the booking form is submitted eight weeks or less before the commencement of the package then the full payment should be sent with the booking form. If Survival School cannot accept the booking, the full amount shall be returned within 14 days. If a booking is accepted, the customer becomes liable for the balance of payment for the full period of the package, which must be paid eight weeks prior to the package. When the balance of payment is paid, final details of the package, with administration directions will be forwarded. The brochure prices are cash prices.  All deposits are non-refundable.  If the customer cannot attend a course and has to cancel within eight weeks of the commencement of the course they forfeit the balance paid or are liable for the balance to be paid.

In these terms and conditions: a) The expression ” the Owner ” shall mean the person or persons who own the land upon which the course takes place. b) The expression ” the Customer ” shall mean the person who signed the Booking Form. c) The expression “Property” shall mean any land, accommodation or contents thereof or any item owned by the owner. d) The expression “the Company” shall mean Survival School.  The terms and conditions are applicable by UK Law.

Participants take part at their own risk and accept that no responsibility for accident or injuries or loss or damage to personal property rest with the supervisory staff, unless proven to be caused by their negligence.

Survival School will deliver your order as soon as practicably possible. Survival School will normally send your order to you in 20 business days. International orders are generally received in under 40 days.

Shop:

Whilst all efforts are made to ensure accuracy of description, specifications and pricing there may be occasions where errors arise. Should such a situation occur Survival School cannot accept your order. In the event of a mistake you will be contacted with a full explanation and a corrected offer. The information displayed is considered as an invitation to treat not as a confirmed offer for sale. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods.

Delivery and Returns

Survival School returns policy has been set up to keep costs down and to make the process as easy for you as possible. You must contact us and be in receipt of a returns authorization (RA) number before sending any item back. Any product without a RA number will not be refunded.

Exchange 

If when you receive your product(s), you are not completely satisfied you may return the items to us, within seven days of exchange or refund. Returns will take approximately 5 working days for the process once the goods have arrived. Items must be in original packaging, in all original boxes, packaging materials, manuals blank warranty cards and all accessories and documents provided by the manufacturer.

If our labels are removed from the product – the warranty becomes void.

We strongly recommend that you fully insure your package that you are returning. We suggest the use of a carrier that can provide you with a proof of delivery. Survival School will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

All shipping back to Survival School is paid for by the customer. We are unable to refund you postal fees unless the items are faulty.

Any product returned found not to be defective can be refunded within the time stated above and will be subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover our administration costs. Goods found to be tampered with by the customer will not be replaced but returned at the customer’s expense.

If you are returning items for exchange please be aware that a second charge may apply.

Non-Returnable 

For reasons of hygiene and public health, refunds/exchanges are not available for used clothing or food products (this does not apply to faulty goods – faulty products will be exchanged like for like)

Discounted or our end of line products can only be returned for repair and no refunds or replacements will be made.

Incorrect/Damaged Goods

We try very hard to ensure that you receive your order in pristine condition. If you do not receive your products in good order, please contact us. In the unlikely event that the product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Survival School immediately, this will be given special priority and you can expect to receive the correct item within 72 hours. For any incorrect items received all delivery charges will be refunded back onto you credit/debit card.

Delivery service

We try to make the delivery process as simple as possible and our able to send your order either you home or to your place of work.

Delivery times are calculated in working days Monday to Friday. If you order after 4 pm the next working day will be considered the first working day for delivery. In case of bank holidays and over the Christmas period, please allow two extra working days.

We aim to deliver within 3 working days but sometimes due to high order volume in certain sales periods please allow 4 days before contacting us. We will attempt to email you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.

Delivery of each item will be attempted twice. Failed deliveries after this can be delivered at an extra cost to you or you can collect the package from your local post office collection point.

Export restrictions

At present Survival School only sends goods within the EU. We plan to add exports to our services in the future. If however you have a special request please contact us your requirements.

Privacy Notice

This policy covers all users who register to use the website. It is not necessary to purchase anything in order to gain access to the searching facilities of the site.

Security

We have taken the appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not unlawfully processed. Survival School uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including ‘firewalls’ and secure socket layers.

During the payment process, we ask for personal information that both identifies you and enables us to communicate with you.

We will use the information you provide only for the following purposes.

* To send you newsletters and details of offers and promotions in which we believe you will be interested.

* To improve the content design and layout of the website.

* To understand the interest and buying behavior of our registered users

* To perform other such general marketing and promotional focused on our products and activities.

Conditions Of Use

Survival School and its affiliates provide their services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit our shop at Survival School you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully, Survival School controls and operates this site from its offices within the UK. The laws of England and Wales govern claims relating to including the use of, this site and materials contained.

If you choose to access from another country you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local lands.

License and Site Access

Survival School grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site. This license doses not include any resales of commercial use of this site or its contents any collection and use of any products any collection and use of any product listings descriptions or prices any derivative use of this site or its contents, any downloading or copying of account information. For the benefit of another merchant or any use of data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This site may not be reproduced duplicated copied sold – resold or otherwise exploited for any commercial exploited without written consent of Survival School

Product Descriptions

Survival School and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible however we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content is accurate complete reliable, or error free.

From time to time there may be information on Survival School that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing and availability.

We reserve the right to correct ant errors inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. (Including after you have submitted your order) We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Prices

Prices and availability of items are subject to change without notice the prices advertised on this site are for orders placed and include VAT and delivery.

Expeditions:

All bookings are made with Survival School whose registered office is Higher Shuteslade, Meeth, Okehampton, EX20 3EP, United Kingdom, whose owner is Jonny Crockett.

The terms and conditions of all agreements made with Survival School shall be subject to, and governed by English Law.

In order to make a booking, complete and sign the Booking Form and post it to Survival School with your deposit of £395 Unless the expedition is full you will receive confirmation of booking and further details. If the expedition is full your cheque will be returned to you.

The balance of the payment for the expedition is due 2 months prior to departure. It is important to be aware that once your deposit is paid, should you wish to cancel at any time thereafter, the deposit is non-refundable. In addition the cancellation penalties detailed below will be applied. It is strongly recommended that you have suitable cancellation insurance coverage.

If the balance is not received by the specific date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and the deposit will be forfeited, unless Jonny Crockett has agreed a delay in your payment.

Cancellation of the expedition will entitle you to a refund of the full cost of your expedition, unless the cancellation has been forced by unforeseen government intervention in which case actual costs incurred by Survival School will be subtracted from any refund due. No other compensation will be allowable.

Cancellation of bookings must be notified in writing. Cancellation charges are set out below, based on the date of receipt of written notification:

More than 8 weeks before departure            –                 loss of deposit

4-8 weeks                                                       –                 60% of total expedition cost

2-4 weeks                                                       –                 80% of total expedition cost

less the 2 weeks                                              –                100% of total expedition cost

Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the planned itinerary, it must be realised that in this type of adventurous travel, changes to the itinerary may occur for which Survival School accepts no responsibility, however caused. Survival School will make every effort to inform you of any change, as we know of each change before departure. Your final itinerary may differ in respect of the places where you stay overnight. In particular it may be necessary to alter your itinerary at short notice due to adverse weather or road conditions, or to operating conditions imposed by owners and operators of accommodation, facilities, aircraft, vessels and other forms of transport. Should weather conditions involve clients in extra costs such as accommodation, transportation and meals, such costs should be borne by the client.

Our instructors will do their utmost to ensure that any problems are solved for the benefit of the group as a whole. Signing the booking form signifies your acceptance of the instructors’ authority to make decisions affecting the group or individuals. For instance, he/she may require an individual to leave the group if he/she believes that person’s health is at risk, if an illegal act is committed, or their behaviour becomes detrimental to the safety, enjoyment or well-being of the group. Should an instructor take such action, that person would not be entitled to any refund.

Survival School reserves the right to change the advertised expedition instructor.

Please understand that there are certain hazards involved in expeditions, which you must accept at your own risk. Survival School will not be liable for any illness, injury or death sustained during an expedition, nor will it be liable for any uninsured losses of your property.

Survival School cannot be made liable for the consequences of strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, sickness, quarantines, government intervention, weather conditions or other untoward occurrences.

It is a condition of booking, that you are adequately covered by insurance, which must cover the cost of helicopter rescue, repatriation and evacuation if you become too ill to continue.

Survival School representatives, other than Jonny Crockett, are not entitled to promise refunds for whatever reason, and Survival School will not be bound by any such promise.

Any air travel that is part of any expedition is subject to the conditions as stipulated by the airline concerned and liability is limited in accordance with International Convention.

On advancement of deposit for a booking on any of our expeditions the depositor acknowledges that he/she has read and understands the above booking conditions and agrees to be bound by them.

Survival School wants you to have a safe, fun learning experience and will do everything it can for you to get what you want from the expedition.
