The single biggest step forward in history by humans is the creation, curation and transportation of fire. Nothing comes close, except may be space travel, but we can't do that at Survival School. What we can do is to teach you how to light fires in the wilderness, how to manage it and how to use it to its best effect. On this course you will learn about the history, terminology and technology of fire, which materials are best suited to tinders and fuels, and how to light fires using ancient, historical and contemporary methods. The course also examines how to make and use charcoal and ash and importantly examines 'leave no trace' as a standard procedure.
The course is designed so that you can light fires any time, any place and any how.
